Job Requirements:

The successful applicants will create and deliver a variety of interpretive programs such as guided walks, activity programs, evening amphitheatre programs, touch tables and special events.

We are looking for applicants with a high degree of knowledge and understanding of the plants and animals found in EC Manning Provincial Park.  We need folks that are self-motivated, responsible, and that have a valid driver’s licence.  You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have experience working with children or teaching.  Experience with art, music and/or drama is beneficial.  To perform the role you will need to be reasonably fit and able to lift 80 pounds.  We will give preference to applicants who are members of Interpretation Canada.

Accommodations:

Accommodation is available in the Manning Park Resort staff housing community for a very reasonable utilities fee.  Other options may be available in the nearby communities of Eastgate, Sunshine Valley or Hope.

Wages:

Wages will be between $19-$21 per hour depending on experience and funding.  The position will involve 40 hours of work per week, much of which will take place evenings and weekends.  This year the position will start May 30 and go until September 5.
