The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce is seeking two (2) enthusiastic and dynamic Science Educators to join the education team at the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology in Drumheller, Alberta. Science Educators will deliver a variety of interactive school and public programs including guided hikes, hands-on workshops, and auditorium presentations at the Royal Tyrrell Museum.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver scheduled education programs and activities including, but not limited to, individual school workshops and hikes, Edutours, Camp-ins, public programs, auditorium presentations, and special events programming. Some evening and weekend work will be required.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of post-secondary training, with preference for biological or environmental sciences, education, communications, performing arts, or a related discipline
  • Previous education/interpretive programming experience
  • A strong knowledge of Earth and life sciences
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working with children
  • Able to lead guided hikes and other outdoor programs in the badlands in a variety of weather conditions
  • Strong MS Office computer skills and comfortable working with technology
  • Valid First Aid certification
  • Provide a vulnerable sector criminal record check

Term:
February 1 to August 31, 2026

Compensation: $1595.00 bi-weekly
